Heavy Equipment Technician
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Technician in Lafayette, LA, the full-time position will focus on maintaining and repairing various heavy equipment and aerial lifts while utilizing advanced technology for diagnostics and work order management.
Key responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems of rental and customer equipment
- Create and monitor work orders, track service intervals, and order parts using technology
- Assist in training lower-level technicians and maintain accurate documentation of work performed
Required qualifications
- High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair of construction equipment
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and extensive knowledge of construction equipment schematics
- Must own tools applicable to the position
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet physical demands of the job
