HEDIS Abstractor - Licensed Nurse
Job Summary
To support HEDIS projects, the part-time remote HEDIS Abstractor - Licensed Nurse will conduct data collection and abstraction of medical records, ensuring compliance with quality standards and HIPAA regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Review medical records and transfer critical HEDIS data elements into a specified data entry portal
- Maintain accuracy thresholds and comply with HIPAA laws and regulations
- Complete self-paced training within a defined timeframe for required measures
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years or 2 seasons of experience in HEDIS abstraction/review
- Expertise in all sub-measures of HEDIS measures: TRC, PPC, WCC
- Medical Coder Certification (CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA) or active Licensed Nurse (LPN, LVN, RN)
- Possession of a Windows-based laptop or desktop computer with high-speed internet access
- Availability to work between 6:00 am EST and 6:00 pm EST, committing to a minimum of 4 hours per day
