HEDIS Quality Improvement Abstractor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Abstractor, HEDIS /Quality Improvement (Remote) to join their Quality Improvement Abstraction team for data collection and abstraction of medical records for HEDIS projects and supplemental data collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the HEDIS medical record review, including ongoing review of records submitted by providers and the annual HEDIS medical record review
• Participate in meetings with vendors for the medical record collection process and with various teams regarding quality and HEDIS review and results
• Collect medical records and reports from provider offices, load data into the HEDIS application, and compare documentation in medical records to specifications to determine if services have been correctly performed

Required Qualifications and Education

• High School Diploma or equivalency required
• 3 years experience in healthcare
• Basic knowledge and understanding of HEDIS projects
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Preferred experience includes at least one year of medical record abstraction experience or 3-5 years experience with HEDIS audits and 1 year managed care experience
