Hematology/Oncology Physician Reviewer

Job Summary

Seeking board-certified physicians, the part-time remote Hematology/Oncology Physician Reviewer will conduct independent medical case reviews for the Department of Veterans Affairs, focusing on quality assessments and improvement opportunities while maintaining a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct objective medical case reviews using standardized assessment criteria
• Evaluate the timeliness and appropriateness of care provided, identifying quality improvement opportunities
• Provide expert medical opinions on complex clinical scenarios from an impartial, evidence-based perspective

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted physician license in any U.S. state or territory
• Board certification in Hematology or Medical Oncology
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in the specialty
• Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical practice relevant to case reviews
• Actively engaged in direct patient care (minimum 20 clinical hours per month)
