Job Summary
To support a high-pressure steam plant at the Naval Research Laboratory, the part-time Boiler Operator for the weekend night shift will operate and monitor boilers and associated equipment, perform routine plant rounds, and maintain compliance with safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor boilers, pumps, and associated equipment
- Perform routine plant rounds and report abnormalities
- Complete shift logs and daily reports accurately
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver's license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years mechanical/electrical experience
- Ability to review confidential U.S. security information
- 1st or 3rd Class High-Pressure Steam Operator License preferred
