Seeking a dynamic educator, the remote contracted Writer for High School Journalism Courses will create engaging course content for high school students, focusing on foundational journalism knowledge over a two-semester curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Develop course materials consisting of 8 units per semester, each unit containing 5500 - 7500 words
• Ensure alignment with educational standards and effective dissemination of knowledge through writing
• Participate in a paid audition to demonstrate writing ability and understanding of course standards

Required qualifications

• Teaching experience at the high school or community college level
• Strong knowledge of journalism and related educational standards
• Experience in curriculum planning
