High Voltage Power Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a High Voltage Power Engineer to lead the design and technical oversight of high-voltage and medium-voltage systems across energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and review of HV and MV systems, collaborating with external consultants and EPCs
• Drive utility interconnection processes and support the preparation of interconnection applications
• Develop technical specifications and maintain standards for engineering excellence

Required Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience, including 4 years in clean energy project development and HV substation design
• Strong understanding of HV transmission and substation equipment, as well as MV distribution systems
• Experience managing interconnection study processes in ERCOT and CAISO
• Proficiency in steady-state modeling tools like ETAP, SKP, or DigSILENT
• Hands-on experience with EPCs and utilities during design and construction phases
