HIM Adjunct Instructor

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time, remote HIM Adjunct Instructor, who will instruct assigned courses, host bi-weekly live sessions, and provide timely feedback to students while maintaining accurate academic records.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct assigned courses and host bi-weekly live sessions via Zoom
• Provide timely feedback on student progress and conduct outreach to engage at-risk students
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and participate in required meetings and training

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Information, Healthcare Administration, Medical Science, or related field; Master's Degree preferred
• 3 years of professional practice in HIM, Coding, or Revenue Cycle experience required
• RHIA or RHIT preferred; Coding certification (CCS, CCS-P, CPC, COC, or CIC) required
• Previous experience teaching online is preferred
• Ability to work in a virtual environment using multiple software programs simultaneously
