HIM Coding Educator Inpatient
Job Summary
A healthcare organization is looking for a HIM Coding Educator Inpatient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide training, education, and mentoring to inpatient coding team and CDI staff
- Evaluate and deliver training programs related to end-user needs
- Collect data through coding quality chart reviews and deliver results for informed business decisions
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field; bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare acute care coding experience
- Specialized training in ICD-10, coding, and auditing required
- Certification as CCS, CPC, CIC, or COC required; RHIA or RHIT preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, healthcare applications, and software
