Job Summary

Overseeing the daily operations of the coding department, the full-time HIM Coding Supervisor will ensure accurate and timely coding of inpatient and outpatient medical records while supervising staff, conducting audits, and providing training in a 100% remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise coding staff and manage daily operations of the coding department
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and hospital regulations
• Provide training and support to coding staff to enhance accuracy and efficiency

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in medical coding
• Knowledge of coding regulations and compliance standards
• Experience in conducting audits and training staff
• Certification in medical coding (e.g., CCS, CPC, or equivalent)
• Ability to collaborate with other departments effectively
