HIM Coding Supervisor

Job Summary

Overseeing the daily operations of the coding department, the full-time HIM Coding Supervisor will ensure accurate and timely coding of inpatient and outpatient medical records while supervising staff, conducting audits, and providing training in a 100% remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise coding staff and manage daily operations to ensure compliance with regulations
• Conduct audits of coding accuracy and provide ongoing training to team members
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain coding standards and improve processes

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in medical coding supervision
• Proficiency in coding guidelines and regulations for inpatient and outpatient records
• Experience conducting audits and training coding staff
• Knowledge of compliance standards in healthcare coding
• Certification in medical coding (e.g., CCS, CPC) is preferred
