HIM Data Integrity Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Integrity Specialist HIM to maintain the integrity of electronic health records and perform chart corrections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the integrity of the electronic health record by investigating and correcting questionable data entries
• Coordinate the correction process for clinical information in inpatient and outpatient information systems
• Ensure all necessary corrections are made in a timely manner and validate each case for completeness and accuracy

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required, advanced degree preferred
• 2 or more years of experience in acute hospital patient record integrity positions
• RHIT credential (or eligible) preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and the medical record correction process
• Familiarity with healthcare information systems, preferably Epic
