HIM Documentation Integrity Specialist

Job Summary

A healthcare organization is seeking a HIM Documentation Integrity Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, measure, and report on documentation created by healthcare providers to ensure integrity of the Electronic Health Record
• Compile feedback for healthcare providers on critical and major errors, and assist in quality review and analysis of patient information
• Perform charge corrections, additions, and deletions for accurate and compliant billing, and provide feedback to the HDI Supervisor

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree in nursing, health information technology, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Two years of experience in Health Information Management, Clinical Documentation Improvement, or related healthcare field
• Completion of HIPAA training and Epic system training
• Certification as a RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P/CPC/CIC/COC or valid AZ or compact state RN/LPN license within 24 months of employment
• Certification as a CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative) preferred
