HIM Operations Specialist

Job Summary

To support efficient healthcare documentation processes, the full-time HIM Operations Specialist will accurately upload and index medical records, collaborate with clinicians on record completion, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while working remotely from 1 PM to 9:30 PM, Sunday to Thursday.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately upload and index outside records into the electronic health record (EHR) using applicable software
• Analyze medical records for missing documentation and collaborate with providers to address deficiencies
• Serve as a point of contact for clinicians regarding record completion support and ensure quality and accuracy of scanned documents

Required qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• 0-1 year of experience in healthcare
• Proficient in computer and keyboarding skills with the ability to learn new software systems
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
