Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the HIM Operations Specialist will accurately upload and index medical records, analyze documentation for compliance, and support clinicians with record completion activities while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately upload and index outside records into the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Analyze medical records for missing documentation and assign deficiencies according to regulations
- Serve as the point of contact for clinicians regarding record completion support and education
Required qualifications
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- 0-1 years of experience in healthcare
- Proficient computer and keyboarding skills with the ability to learn new software systems
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Ability to work independently and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
