Managing complex workflows, the full-time HIM Operations Specialist will analyze and classify clinical documentation, ensure compliance with regulations, and support coding and billing processes in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze medical documentation needs and classify clinical records for accuracy and compliance
- Review and process Health Maintenance results and Advance Care Planning Directives in Epic
- Collaborate with departments to optimize workflows and ensure timely completion of medical records
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- 1 to 2 years of experience in healthcare
- Proficient in software systems such as Epic, OnBase, and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of HIPAA and ability to safeguard protected health information (PHI)
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
