HIM Operations Specialist
Job Summary
To support HIM operations, the full-time HIM Operations Specialist will manage medical record documentation workflows, ensure compliance with regulations, and collaborate with various departments while working remotely from Wednesday to Sunday, 12 PM to 8:30 PM.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and classify clinical documentation to support patient care and revenue cycle processes
- Review and process Health Maintenance results and Advance Care Planning Directives in accordance with state guidelines
- Coordinate training and support for Epic Connect clinics during the transition to the EPIC system
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- 1 to 2 years of experience in healthcare
- Proficient in computer systems, including Epic and OnBase
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA and safeguarding protected health information (PHI)
