HIPAA Compliance Director

Job Summary

HIPAA Compliance Director, oversees operational execution of privacy and Release of Information (ROI) compliance in a full-time role, supporting the Chief Privacy Officer and ensuring adherence to HIPAA and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Owns operational execution of privacy and ROI compliance across assigned portfolios and client segments
• Interprets HIPAA and state medical record laws, operationalizing them into policies and training materials
• Leads internal audits and regulatory inquiries, developing audit response strategies and corrective actions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 8-10+ years of experience in ROI operations, privacy, compliance, and/or client success with leadership responsibility
• Privacy credentials such as RHIA, CHPS, or CHPC preferred
• Experience with HIPAA, HITECH, and federal/state medical record laws
• Proven ability to lead audits, incident investigations, and cross-functional compliance initiatives
