HIPAA Compliance IT Director

Job Summary

Owning the end-to-end IT operations and security program, the full-time remote HIPAA Compliance IT Director will manage device lifecycle, SaaS administration, and lead the implementation of HIPAA safeguards while overseeing a growing team and reporting to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of IT operations, including onboarding, offboarding, and identity access management
• Lead the technical controls for HIPAA compliance, implementing necessary security measures and safeguards
• Oversee the security program, including penetration testing, incident response, and vendor security reviews

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of IT and security leadership experience with full functional ownership
• Hands-on experience with HIPAA compliance implementation
• Proven track record of building a security program from the ground up
• Experience managing a large SaaS portfolio, including vendor negotiations and contract renewals
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and setting clear expectations
