HIPAA Privacy Attorney

Job Summary

HIPAA Privacy Attorney, a part-time position providing legal guidance on data privacy issues, supporting policy development, and collaborating with IT teams, is sought for a remote role expected to last 3-6 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical guidance on data collection, storage, and use across the business
• Triage privacy questions and identify risks related to compliance with U.S. and international privacy laws
• Support ongoing policy development in collaboration with cross-functional teams

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of U.S. privacy laws, GDPR, and UK privacy regulations
• Experience with HIPAA and PHI in regulated industries
• Ability to work closely with IT or cybersecurity teams
• Part-time availability for approximately 10 hours per week
• Preference for candidates located on the West Coast or able to work Pacific Time hours
