HIPAA Security Officer

Job Summary

Leading the company's compliance and information security programs, the full-time Senior Director, Security & Compliance will serve as the designated HIPAA Security Officer, overseeing HIPAA/HITECH compliance, SOC 2 certifications, and the development of a robust policy framework while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Compliance Officer and HIPAA Security Officer, managing compliance and information security programs
• Oversee HIPAA/HITECH compliance, including security risk analysis and required safeguards
• Lead SOC 2 Type II compliance efforts, ensuring audit readiness and managing auditor relationships

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in compliance, information security, or risk management with leadership responsibilities
• Deep knowledge of HIPAA/HITECH and healthcare compliance requirements
• Experience with SOC 2 Type II certification and assurance programs
• Strong understanding of cloud security, application security, and modern SaaS architecture
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are preferred but not required with equivalent experience
