Home Health Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

Responsible for processing all authorization documentation in compliance with regulations, the full-time Home Health Authorization Specialist will manage frontend documentation, monitor ongoing authorization needs, and collaborate with insurance and revenue cycle teams, with the potential for remote work.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and enter data into software systems to ensure accuracy of client accounts
• Timely follow up on pending authorizations to facilitate payment of claims
• Generate authorization documentation to meet billing deadlines and industry standards

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; college business courses or an associate degree preferred
• Four to six years of experience in a medical billing office setting with a focus on authorizations
• Strong knowledge of general business office functions and microcomputer usage
• Ability to meet strict deadlines with high accuracy and prioritize multiple tasks
