Home Health Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Home Health Coding Specialist responsible for accurate ICD-10-CM coding and auditing in compliance with CMS guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit high-complexity charts and lead coding audits with offshore auditors
• Mentor and coach offshore coders while supporting external audits and client escalations
• Conduct audits of coder charts and identify error trends in diagnosis selection and sequencing

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA
• 5+ years of home health coding experience
• 2+ years of medical coding auditing or chart review experience preferred
• BCHH-C or COQS certification preferred, required after hire
