Hospital Billing Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Hospital Billing Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

• Work on daily downloads of Managed Care/HOM claims to ensure timely and accurate claim transmission
• Identify and obtain missing or invalid claim data by communicating with other departments
• Utilize system resources to resolve claim issues and assist other Billing Specialists as needed

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; AA preferred
• 3-5 years of prior experience in billing claims
• Experience with Managed Care/HMO contract billing required
• Understanding of required fields on a 1500 and/or UB forms for hospitals and diagnostic facilities
• Knowledge of medical terminology, coding guidelines, and relevant regulations
