Job Summary

Hospital Collections Specialist, responsible for managing healthcare accounts receivable activities in a remote, contract-to-hire position, focusing on resolving complex claims and outstanding insurance balances.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned accounts receivable portfolios and follow up on outstanding healthcare claims
• Contact insurance payers to verify claim status and resolve reimbursement issues
• Document account activity and prepare appeals related to medical necessity and payer disputes

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of healthcare A/R collections experience, including hospital claims
• Reliable remote work setup with high-speed internet and personal equipment
• Experience managing complex commercial and government payer accounts
• Strong understanding of EOBs and coordination of benefits (COB)
• Experience working in EMR systems, with Epic preferred
