Job Summary
A company is looking for a Hospital Outpatient Facility Coder 2 specializing in Neuro, Psychiatry, Cardio, and Ophthalmology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review clinical documentation and assign correct coding for facility and/or professional charges
- Establish and maintain procedures for coding and insurance billing activity
- Serve as a resource for billing policy and procedure issues and participate in coding education sessions
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of hospital or professional services experience in medical record coding
- Coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and insurance billing laws
- Proficiency with EMR systems and coding software
- Accredited Coding Program and college coursework in related subjects preferred
