HPC Performance Engineer

Job Summary

Analyzing High Performance Computing applications, the full-time HPC Performance Engineer will drive compiler optimizations and library enhancements while working remotely with cross-functional teams to improve performance across various platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze the effects of compilers and optimizations on HPC application performance
• Evaluate compiler and runtime improvements for key HPC applications on CPU and CPU/GPU platforms
• Port HPC applications to different platforms and programming models while assessing system configurations' impact on performance

Required qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related engineering field
• 5+ years of programming experience
• Solid understanding of Fortran, C, C++, and parallel architectures
• Experience with OpenACC, OpenMP, MPI, CUDA, and parallel application development tools
• Strong mathematical fundamentals, including linear algebra and numerical methods
