HPC Storage Administrator
Job Summary
Managing and optimizing storage infrastructure, the full-time HPC Storage Administrator will design, configure, and maintain high-performance storage systems in a remote environment to ensure fast and reliable data access for large-scale computing needs.
Key responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain high-performance storage systems, including parallel file systems, NAS, SAN, and object storage platforms
- Monitor storage performance and capacity, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Ensure data security and compliance while collaborating with a team of engineers focused on high-speed storage and compute solutions
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with high-speed storage in an HPC environment, preferably with GPFS and large data backups
- Working knowledge of GPFS, preferably PixStor, and NFS
- Experience with RedHat administration
- Familiarity with Dell PowerVault storage
