Job Summary
Providing essential support to the HR Security team, the part-time HR Assistant (Security) will assist with I-9 compliance, background checks, and auditing processes while ensuring adherence to hiring standards and employee lifecycle regulations, with a requirement to work onsite in McAllen, TX as needed.
Key responsibilities
- Support the HR team with all elements of the employee lifecycle, including new hire standards and off-boarding processes
- Assist with audits related to the employee lifecycle on a weekly and monthly basis
- Document and track compliance actions through dashboards, reports, and logs
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of proven experience in an HR-related field
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
- Proficient with Microsoft software, particularly Excel
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet pre-hire requirements, including background checks
