Job Summary
To provide parental leave coverage for the Head of People, a part-time HR Generalist Contractor will manage day-to-day People operations, employee relations, and compliance for approximately 80 employees in a fully remote environment from August 2026 to February 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for employee and manager inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and People matters
- Administer onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes while maintaining accurate HR records
- Provide guidance on employee relations issues and support managers with performance documentation and policy interpretation
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or similar roles
- Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle processes and HR administration
- Experience advising managers on employee relations and performance issues
- Ability to work independently in a small or scaling company environment
- Familiarity with federal and state employment laws and HRIS tools
