Job Summary

To support a growing multi-state organization, the full-time hybrid HR Manager will oversee full-cycle HR operations, including recruiting, onboarding, and compliance, while fostering a supportive culture for a team dedicated to hospice care for pets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and performance management for a distributed team
• Ensure compliance with multi-state employment laws and maintain HR policies and employee handbook tailored for a remote workforce
• Champion employee relations and support programs addressing staff wellbeing and compassion fatigue among caregivers

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, particularly with a multi-state workforce
• Working knowledge of multi-state employment law and compliance requirements
• Experience in building or improving HR processes in a small or growing company
• Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a focus on virtual support for a distributed team
