HSD Systems Engineer

Job Summary

To support critical Internet services, the full-time remote HSD Systems Engineer will deploy, upgrade, and maintain High-Speed Data infrastructure while managing vendor solutions and ensuring system security and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain core network systems, including DNS, DHCP, and DOCSIS provisioning
• Automate tasks and troubleshoot issues using scripting and programming tools in a Linux environment
• Collaborate on project teams to analyze requirements, risks, and limitations for technology upgrades and new product designs

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, with a minimum of two years of experience in network engineering
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Linux administration, specifically with CentOS or RHEL
• Proficiency in automation and scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Ansible
• Experience designing and operating high-availability corporate and telecommunications networks
• Relevant networking certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or CCNA preferred
