Job Summary
Leading user research and experience design, the full-time remote Human-Centered Design Analyst will ensure the Appian contract writing and acquisition management platform meets the needs of VA acquisition workforce users by grounding design decisions in user behaviors and constraints.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and conduct user research activities, including contextual inquiry and usability testing with VA acquisition staff
- Synthesize research findings into user personas, journey maps, and actionable design recommendations
- Develop wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes for key acquisition workflows in the Appian platform
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in human-centered design, UX research, or service design on federal government IT programs
- Proficiency in UX design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent)
- Experience translating user research findings into design requirements, personas, and wireframes
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, Information Science, or related field
- Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance
