Job Summary

At this time, we are seeking a part time employee for this role that will work between 20 to 30 hours per week. When the economy returns to normal, the option for this position to go to full time is there. The position offers you the flexibility to set which days and times you work, however there are some limitations as some of the hours must overlap with our standard eastcoast work schedule of 8am to 5pm.

Achieve is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead the overall coordination and optimization of all human resources, benefits management, recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, and related training/development functions for the company. There are three full time supporting people in the HR department. In addition to overseeing the traditional HR generalist and recruitment responsibilities, the Director of Human Resources must be an active leader in the development and implementation of projects, policies, and procedures across a broad range of HR functions for hourly and salaried employees across the US as well as independent contractors. This position reports directly to the company president.

Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities

- Assess and make recommendations regarding HR strategies

- Manage company healthcare and retirement benefits, including facilitating
enrollment periods, validating monthly related billing, overseeing internal COBRA
administration, coordinating with benefits broker and vendors, coordinating with
payroll administrator for ACA compliance reporting and 1094-C/1095-C annual
reports, and conducting 401(k) compliance testing procedures, annual notice
distributions, completion of 5500 questionnaires, and filing 1099-R with IRS

-Coordinating with payroll administrator on payroll related issues and topics

-Employee relations and employee separations

-Maintaining benefits and required employment notices on the company intranet

-Ensure proper maintenance of staff data in company CRM and staff HR files

-Oversee time off reporting procedures, including compliance with state-specific
paid sick leave plans

-Monitor and coordinate all state/federal governmental and regulatory compliance
activities.

-Employee retention

-Evaluation, improve, and oversee the recruitment process for all positions

-Assist directly on recruitment for higher-level positions

-Talent management planning

Desired Skills & Experience

-Bachelor's degree or higher with a focus in human resources, business, or another
relevant discipline

-Ability to lead a project from beginning to end and oversee multiple projects at the
same time

-Ability to lead a team of direct reports within the HR department and/or project
teams

-Capable of working with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

-Effective prioritization, time management, organizational skills, and ability to meet
established deadlines

-Must have strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment, and be
capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals

-Must be able to multitask

-Must be able to protect and maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and
information

-Generally tech-savvy' and able to learn new software tools quickly

-Considerable skill in a sourcing, interviewing, and decision-making techniques in
recruiting for higher level positions.

-5+ years of experience hiring

-Experience hiring management level positions is a plus.

-5+ years of experience in employee benefits, including healthcare and retirement
plans

-3+ years experience with employment law and HR compliance across multiple
states.

-3+ years managing teams

-3+ years managing projects

-Experience with Zoho Recruit a plus.

-Significant experience in employee relations, PHR/SPHR certification a plus.
