Human Services Associate Professor

Job Summary

Focusing on doctoral mentoring and dissertation committee service, the full-time Human Services Associate Professor will support students through their dissertation process, provide individualized feedback, and maintain regular communication in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Chair and serve on multiple doctoral dissertation committees, facilitating student progression and completion
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to doctoral students on their research and applied projects
• Engage in scholarship activities that align with the university's mission and support doctoral education

Required qualifications

• PhD (or earned doctorate) in Human Services or a closely related discipline
• 3+ years of teaching experience and/or demonstrated capacity for doctoral mentoring
• Experience supporting doctoral research committees, including chairing dissertations
• Demonstrated ability to support diverse doctoral students through complex research projects
• Experience with distance learning is preferred
