Seeking a part-time Human Services Dissertation Mentor, the role involves mentoring dissertation committees for the PhD/DHS Program, managing dissertation quality as a university research reviewer, and participating in faculty trainings and university residencies, all within a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Chair dissertation committees and serve as a second member on committees
- Manage dissertation quality through service as a university research reviewer
- Facilitate the intellectual and professional development of assigned students through regular mentoring interactions
Required qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Human Services, Social Work (PhD, DHS), or a related field from an accredited institution
- Experience serving on doctoral dissertation committees; chairing experience preferred
- Strong research methodology background in quantitative, qualitative, and/or mixed methods
- Evidence of continuing scholarly or creative work within the past 5 years
- Commitment to advocating for the learning and development needs of students in a distance learning environment
