About The Role:
Achieve Test Prep is seeking an eLearning Substitute Humanities Instructor to prepare customers to test out of traditional 3 credit Humanities courses, pass their CLEP and DSST exams, and help them stay motivated on their journey to earn their college degrees. The suitable candidate should have knowledge of the following courses and be able to teach them:
American Government, Art of the Western World, Ethics in America, History of the United States 1, Humanities, Macroeconomics, and World Religions.
Job Responsibilities:
Teach lessons when the main instructors are not available
Present lessons in a manner that aids understanding and engagement
Motivate customers to succeed
Collaborate with other instructors and team members and participate in meetings
Follow customers' journeys and inform the eLearning team of noteworthy observations
Provide one-on-one tutoring for customers
Perform other eLearning-related tasks
Requirements & Skills:
A Bachelor's degree in a Humanities course
Three or more years of experience teaching
Humanities courses with at least one year of virtual teaching experience
Experience working with Learning Management Systems, such as Zoom, Google doc, Google slides, and other eLearning applications
Ability to teach different types of learners in real time in a manner that helps them understand
Excellent audience engagement skills
Strong Internet connection, a functional computer, and a noise-canceling headset
Efficiency, professionalism, and dependability
Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices with a willingness to follow Achieve Test Prep's eLearning policies and procedures
Location: Remote
Schedule: Under 10 hours per week; availability to teach classes on weekdays and weekends, Morning, Afternoon, and Evenings
