HVAC and Plumbing Design Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced HVAC and Plumbing Design Engineer for a contract role in Phoenix, AZ, who will design commercial HVAC and plumbing systems, support project delivery from conception to closeout, and ensure compliance with relevant codes while collaborating with internal teams and field leadership, with remote work and some travel required until the new office is operational.

Key responsibilities

• Design commercial HVAC and plumbing systems, prioritizing plumbing design for data centers and healthcare projects
• Drive Design-Build and Design-Assist project delivery from conceptual design through construction and closeout
• Perform engineering calculations, system sizing, layout development, and equipment selection using AutoCAD MEP and Revit

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial design experience
• Extensive plumbing design expertise
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience with construction compliance and safety codes
• No degree required
