HVAC Engineer

Job Summary

To support the design and development of HVAC systems for passenger rail transit vehicles, the remote HVAC System Engineer will execute system design, perform calculations, and ensure compliance with specifications while maintaining project timelines and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the design and development of HVAC systems and controls, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and specifications
• Perform system performance calculations and prepare technical proposals, including documentation of customer specifications
• Provide technical support and review documentation produced by other Systems Engineers while contributing to project scheduling and stakeholder communication

Required qualifications

• Practical knowledge of HVAC or similar electromechanical equipment and principles
• Understanding of thermodynamics, physics, and systems calculations
• Experience developing technical proposals and documentation
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and relevant ISO standards
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or physics with at least 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager
