I and C Design Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the design of instrumentation and control systems, the long-term contract I&C Design Engineer will work remotely, focusing on system design, prototype development, and compliance with nuclear regulations for Sodium Fast Reactor technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Provide system design, prototype development, testing, and integration for Sodium Fast Reactor technologies
- Develop and review system- and component-level specifications to ensure compliance with nuclear codes and standards
- Create and manage detailed technical design documents and comprehensive design packages, including P&IDs and control system architecture
Required qualifications
- B.S. or higher in Controls, Electrical, or related discipline with 10+ years of experience in instrumentation and control systems
- Proven experience in developing and delivering industrial I&C platforms
- Familiarity with IEEE and IEC standards is desired but not required
- Knowledge of nuclear power plant quality assurance standards is preferred
- Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks is preferred
