I and C Design Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design of instrumentation and control systems, the long-term contract I&C Design Engineer will work remotely, focusing on system design, prototype development, and compliance with nuclear regulations for Sodium Fast Reactor technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide system design, prototype development, testing, and integration for Sodium Fast Reactor technologies
• Develop and review system- and component-level specifications to ensure compliance with nuclear codes and standards
• Create and manage detailed technical design documents and comprehensive design packages, including P&IDs and control system architecture

Required qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Controls, Electrical, or related discipline with 10+ years of experience in instrumentation and control systems
• Proven experience in developing and delivering industrial I&C platforms
• Familiarity with IEEE and IEC standards is desired but not required
• Knowledge of nuclear power plant quality assurance standards is preferred
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks is preferred
