IBM MQ Administrator
Job Summary
To support a long-term contract, the remote IBM MQ Administrator will manage the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IBM MQ messaging middleware, ensuring reliable message delivery across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure IBM MQ software, including queue managers, queues, and security protocols
- Monitor system performance, manage message flow, and perform regular health checks and audits
- Implement security measures, manage user access, and conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience with IBM MQ installation and configuration on Windows, Linux, Unix, and AIX platforms
- Strong knowledge of message queuing concepts and best practices
- Experience in troubleshooting connectivity issues and analyzing error logs
- Familiarity with security protocols, including SSL/TLS configurations
- Ability to provide on-call support and work collaboratively with development and network teams
