IBM Workload Scheduler Engineer

Job Summary

Administering large-scale IBM Workload Scheduler environments, the contract IBM Workload Scheduler Engineer will install, configure, upgrade, and maintain IWS infrastructure while managing production scheduling operations and troubleshooting job failures in a remote or hybrid setting.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support IBM Workload Scheduler environments, ensuring platform availability and security compliance
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain IWS infrastructure, including troubleshooting performance bottlenecks
• Develop automation solutions using Ansible, Python, and REST APIs, and manage production scheduling operations

Required qualifications

• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS/IWA) administration
• Strong expertise in IWS 10.1+, including MDM, BMDM, and High Availability architecture
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8+) administration
• Proficiency in Bash/Shell scripting, Python, Ansible, and IWS REST APIs
• Knowledge of AWS and secrets management tools such as CyberArk or HashiCorp Vault
