IBM z/OS Migration Consultant
Job Summary
To support ongoing migration projects, the remote contract IBM z/OS Migration Consultant will lead Easytrieve Plus to COBOL migrations using IBM Migration Utility, install and troubleshoot IMU on z/OS systems, and provide technical support for conversion issues.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and support Easytrieve Plus to COBOL migration projects
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot IBM Migration Utility on z/OS systems
- Conduct training sessions and develop technical presentation materials for clients
Required qualifications
- Strong application development or system programming background
- Proven experience with IBM Migration Utility and converting Easytrieve Plus applications to COBOL
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
- Experience conducting technical training and knowledge-transfer sessions
- Ability to work effectively with customers and technical stakeholders
