I&C Design Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design of I&C systems in a long-term remote contract role, the I&C Design Engineer will provide system design, prototype development, and integration for Sodium Fast Reactor technologies while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide system design, prototype development, testing, and integration for Sodium Fast Reactor technologies
• Develop and review system- and component-level specifications, ensuring compliance with nuclear codes and regulations
• Create and manage detailed technical design documents and generate comprehensive design packages including P&IDs and control system architecture

Required qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Controls, Electrical, or related discipline with 10+ years of experience in instrumentation and control systems
• Proven experience in developing, diagnostics, and delivering industrial I&C platforms
• Experience with nuclear reactor safety systems or nuclear instrumentation design is desired
• Knowledge of nuclear power plant quality assurance standards is preferred
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks is preferred
