ICC Licensed Fire Plans Examiner

Job Summary

Offering a remote, on-call opportunity, the ICC Licensed Fire Plans Examiner will review plans for compliance with fire and building codes, create detailed review letters, and stay updated on relevant legislation while working up to 28 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Review plans for compliance with applicable fire and building codes, including fire suppression systems and hazardous materials storage
• Create review letters detailing code compliance and necessary changes
• Research and stay current on fire legislation, codes, and ordinances

Required qualifications

• ICC Fire Plans Examiner certification required
• Experience in fire plan review strongly preferred
• ICC Fire Inspector I and II certifications are a plus
• Extensive knowledge of local building codes and construction procedures
• Ability to interpret codes and provide compliant solutions in the field
