Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Coder I, Technical will code same-day surgery accounts and CPT procedures, ensuring compliance with ICD-10 coding standards and billing guidelines.

Key responsibilities:

• Code same-day surgery accounts and verify accuracy of diagnoses and procedures prior to submission to the billing system
• Meet coding productivity and quality standards while adhering to internal policies and participating in monthly coding meetings
• Utilize computer applications and resources to complete the coding process efficiently and maintain accurate databases

Required qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Completion of an AHIMA or AACP-certified Coding program or equivalent, including Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, and ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM coding guidelines
• Preferred six months of hospital coding experience
