Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder I - Technical.

Key Responsibilities

• Code ancillary outpatient accounts using ICD-9 diagnosis coding skills
• Review coding for accuracy and completeness prior to submission to billing systems
• Participate in monthly coding meetings and maintain continuing education in coding practices

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Completion of an AHIMA or AACP-certified coding program or equivalent
• Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, and coding guidelines
• Preferred 6 months of hospital coding experience
• Act 34 clearance required
