Idaho Licensed Medical Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Director (Behavioral Health) to provide clinical leadership and oversight in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight to the interdisciplinary Medical Management team, ensuring quality care and medical necessity decisions
• Develop and implement a Utilization Management program to ensure high-quality patient care in a cost-effective manner
• Establish effective relationships with practitioners and treatment programs, addressing quality of care concerns and ensuring compliance with standards

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with U.S. internship and residency
• Successful completion of ECFMG and FLEX examinations
• At least 3 years of post-residency experience in direct patient care across multiple levels
• Current and valid unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state or territory
• Experience in cost-benefit analysis, medical decision analysis, and quality assurance processes (preferred)
