Job Summary
A company is looking for a Medical Director (Behavioral Health) for a remote position in Idaho.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight to the interdisciplinary Medical Management team, ensuring coordinated care for at-risk patients
- Develop and implement a Utilization Management program to ensure high-quality, cost-effective patient care
- Establish effective working relationships with practitioners and provider facilities, addressing quality of care concerns and compliance with standards
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with U.S. internship and residency completion
- Successful completion of the ECFMG and FLEX examinations
- At least 3 years of post-residency clinical experience with direct patient care
- Current and valid unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state or territory
- Experience in cost-benefit analysis, medical decision analysis, and quality improvement processes (preferred)
