Job Summary
To enhance educational outcomes for students with disabilities, the full-time Idaho Licensed Special Education Coordinator will provide professional development training, technical assistance, and consultation to schools while working remotely within the State of Idaho.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitates organizational assessments and evaluations, assigning tasks on various consulting projects
- Develops and delivers training materials and modules to support district staff in the special education process
- Provides direct consultation to school teams and special education staff to improve practices related to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 5 years of experience in special education or a related field
- Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field is preferred
- Certification as an Exceptional Child Generalist, Early Childhood Special Educator, or Special Education Director is preferred
- Experience working with schools and school teams for at least 3 years
- Knowledge of tiered academic and behavior intervention frameworks such as RTI/MTSS/PBIS
